How To Positively Impact Your Withdrawal Healing
Mar 06, 2026Withdrawal healing is unique. It can come with various confusing symptoms, it can be non-linear (with many surprising but normal ups and downs), and for some people (like myself) it can take longer than anticipated.
But whether the withdrawal healing involves antidepressant or benzodiazepine medication—and no matter the range of symptoms—the healing is there to be had with more time and self-care. We can’t 100 percent control the withdrawal healing process, but we can positively influence it through our goals, actions, and mindset.
In today’s video I will talk about how the “active participant” mindset is a crucial component of healing during antidepressant withdrawal and/or benzo withdrawal. This mindset recognizes that setting goals with regards to holistic self-care matters, and it visualizes how each daily effort in healing is having a cumulatively positive effect on systemic resilience and rebalancing over time.
No matter how difficult or out of control your situation might seem at times, stay encouraged because there are ways in which you can continue to positively influence your situation and move forward!
