Two Beliefs to Become (and stay) Medication Free!

Moving away from prescription medications and toward more natural mental & emotional wellness is a great goal; but it isn’t always an easy one to follow through on. If you’ve already begun the process of tapering antidepressant medications or benzodiazepine medications (or if you’ve already stopped them), then perhaps you know the mind games and doubts that the symptoms of prescription drug withdrawal can bring into the process.

Antidepressant withdrawal and benzodiazepine withdrawal can present real challenges when a person is working to become and stay medication free, but they don’t have to be the stumbling blocks that derail the greater goals. With the proper support, self-care, and mindset, it is completely possible to succeed in tapering medications, survive withdrawal and continue to live medication free in a state of greater balance and improved wellness.
